Lecrae, the MC behind “All I Need Is You” and “I’m Turnt, stopped by Vevo to talk about his track “Blessings.” The rapper has been impressing fans for years; his 2012 ‘Gravity’ album took home a Grammy for “Best Gospel Album.” His spirituality has informed all of the music he’s made since his career kicked-off in 2004 with ‘Real Talk.’
Discussing “Blessings,” Lecrae says he wanted everything about it – from lyrics to images to the video - to be “very authentic to who I am.” During our interview he also spoke about the difficulty people have when talking about race relations, and the trouble artists have keeping up with audience expectations.
