Toronto rapper Jazz Cartier arrives with an international feel. His stepfather was a diplomat, and the young Jaye Adams spent time in Kuwait, Barbados, and all over the US (from Idaho to Maine), where he soaked up everything from OutKast to soca to Arabic music. After returning to Canada, he poured his stories into his 2015 debut mixtape, 'Marauding In Paradise. Its breakout single “Switch” became a regular crowd-rouser at Toronto Raptors games.
